Advanced Oil Sludge Treatment Solution for Resource Recovery
Oil sludge is a complex industrial waste generated during oil and gas exploration, production, storage, transportation, and refining processes.
It typically contains:
Crude oil
Water
Solid particles
Inorganic minerals
Other contaminants
Henyo Petro’s oil sludge treatment solution integrates multiple advanced technologies, including:
Physical separation
Chemical treatment
Thermal treatment
Centrifugal separation
Three-phase separation
Through these integrated treatment processes, the system achieves:
Sludge volume reduction
Hazardous waste treatment
Oil resource recovery
Environmental impact reduction
Oil Sludge Treatment Process
1. Pretreatment Stage
During the pretreatment stage, chemical additives, heating, and dilution methods are applied to effectively break the encapsulation of oil droplets within the sludge.
This process improves oil release efficiency and enhances the performance of subsequent separation stages.
2. Solid-Liquid Separation
Through high-efficiency screening technology, the system effectively separates solid and liquid phases.
The main functions include:
Removing most solid particles
Reducing solid waste volume
Improving dehydration performance
Preparing materials for further treatment and resource utilization
By reducing solid content in the liquid phase, the system improves the efficiency and stability of subsequent centrifugal separation.
3. Centrifugal Separation
The treated material enters the two-phase decanter centrifuge for further separation.
The centrifugal separation process achieves:
Solid phase oil content controlled within 2%
Further reduction of solid particles in liquid phase to below 3%
The separated material is then prepared for advanced purification through the three-phase disc separator system.
4. Three-Phase Disc Separation
The three-phase disc separator performs final separation of:
Oil
Water
Solid particles
from oil sludge with solid content below 3%.
The separation performance can achieve:
Oil content in separated water: 500–1000 PPM
Water and solid content in recovered oil: ≤3%
This final purification stage improves recovered oil quality while minimizing environmental discharge and maximizing resource recovery.
Electric Desalting System for Crude Oil Purification
The electric desalting system is an advanced crude oil purification technology that utilizes a high-voltage electric field to efficiently remove water and dissolved salts from crude oil.
The system mainly consists of:
Pretreatment unit
Electric desalting unit
Drainage system
Electrical control system
Working Principle of Electric Desalting System
During operation, crude oil first passes through the pretreatment unit to remove mechanical impurities before entering the electric desalting unit.
Under the influence of a high-voltage electric field:
Small water droplets inside crude oil become polarized
Water droplets combine into larger droplets
Larger droplets settle through gravity separation
Dissolved salts are removed through water extraction
Through this advanced purification process, the electric desalting system effectively reduces water and salt content, improving crude oil quality and supporting efficient downstream processing.
