High-Efficiency Solids Control Equipment

Desander is the secondary solids control equipment for drilling fluid processing. It typically utilizes 10" and 12" hydrocyclones to separate solid particles ranging from 45 μm to 75 μm. Multiple hydrocyclone units can be combined into a single assembly based on the client's required processing capacity. Henyo Petro offers two types of desanders: the Desander without a Bottom Shale Shaker and the Desander with a Bottom Shale Shaker.

Desander FAQs

What is a Desander used for in drilling operations?
A Desander is a secondary solids control unit that removes fine solids from drilling mud after primary separation, improving fluid cleanliness and protecting downstream equipment.
What particle size does the Desander remove?
It removes solid particles in the range of 45–75 μm using high-efficiency hydrocyclones.
How does the Desander work?
It uses centrifugal force generated by hydrocyclones to separate solids from drilling fluid. Heavier particles are discharged through the cone outlet, while cleaned fluid flows downstream.
What are the main benefits of a Desander?
Improved drilling fluid cleanliness
Reduced equipment wear
Lower mud dilution cost
Higher solids control efficiency
Stable downstream system performance
Is the hydrocyclone system adjustable and customizable?
Yes. Hydrocyclone quantity and configuration can be adjusted to match required capacity and drilling conditions.
What makes Henyo Petro Desander durable and reliable?
It uses 100% polyurethane (PU) hydrocyclones and internationally certified components (IECEx / ATEX / UL motors, Siemens & Schneider electrics), ensuring long service life and stable operation in harsh environments.
