Project Overview

Henyo Petro has successfully completed the manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and delivery of a drilling fluid shale shaker and mud agitator system for a customer project in Indonesia.

After strict production procedures, equipment assembly, commissioning, and quality inspection processes, the complete system was prepared for shipment to Indonesia to support the customer’s drilling fluid purification and solids control operations.

The supplied equipment includes a drilling fluid shale shaker and a mud agitator, which are important components in drilling fluid treatment systems. These solids control equipment are widely used in:

  • Oil drilling operations

  • Coalbed methane drilling projects

  • River sludge environmental protection treatment

  • Other drilling fluid purification applications

Project Equipment

Drilling Fluid Shale Shaker

The drilling fluid shale shaker is designed to separate solid particles from drilling fluid through high-frequency vibration technology.

When drilling fluid enters the shale shaker, solid particles are intercepted by the screen surface under the action of high-frequency vibration, while purified drilling fluid passes through the screen openings and flows into the next treatment stage. This process effectively removes unwanted solids from drilling fluid and achieves efficient mud purification.




Working Principle of Drilling Fluid Shale Shaker

The working principle of the shale shaker is based on vibration force generated by the vibrating motor.

Under the action of eccentric block force, the vibrating motor generates specific vibration trajectories through the transmission of the shock beam, including:

  • Linear motion

  • Circular motion

  • Translational and elliptical motion

These vibration movements continuously throw and drop the drilling fluid on the screen surface, allowing solid particles to move forward while the liquid phase passes through the screen. Through this screening process, efficient solid-liquid separation is achieved.

The drilling fluid shale shaker provides several advantages:

Mud Agitator

The mud agitator is mainly composed of an explosion-proof motor, reducer, frame, and impeller assembly.

The motor and reducer are directly connected to ensure stable and reliable power transmission. The impeller assembly is the core component of the agitator and is usually welded with four blades to generate strong stirring force.

A tray is installed in the middle of the impeller assembly to prevent solid particles in the drilling fluid from accumulating around the lower blades after shutdown. This design reduces the resistance moment during startup and helps protect the motor from overload damage.





Working Principle of Mud Agitator

The working principle of the mud agitator is based on the vortex motion generated by the rotating impeller to improve the mixing effect of drilling fluid.

When the motor starts, the reducer converts the motor speed into a suitable stirring speed. The impeller then rotates accordingly, creating a strong vortex in the drilling fluid.

This vortex movement effectively mixes the drilling fluid and keeps solid particles suspended in the liquid, preventing sedimentation. Meanwhile, the tray design helps avoid mud particle accumulation after shutdown, further improving the operational reliability and service life of the agitator.
