2 Sets XJ550-Z Truck-Mounted Solids Control Systems Delivered to Middle East Oilfield Project

Location: Middle East
Application: Oil Drilling & Workover Operations
Equipment Supplied: 2 Sets of XJ550-Z Truck-Mounted Solids Control Systems

Project Overview

Two sets of XJ550-Z truck-mounted workover solids control systems, including shale tanks and mud mixing tanks, have successfully completed manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and inspection procedures and are ready for delivery to project sites in the Middle East.

Designed for mobile oil drilling and workover operations, the complete systems provide an integrated solution for drilling fluid treatment, solids removal, mud mixing, and circulation management.

The supplied equipment includes shale tank trailers, agitators, mud guns, centrifugal pumps, foldable mud-gas separators, bulk bag lifting units, filters, and related components and spare parts, providing comprehensive support for efficient drilling fluid management during field operations.

XJ550-Z Truck-Mounted Shale Tank for Drilling Fluid Pre-Treatment

The truck-mounted shale tank serves as the core pre-treatment unit within the solids control system for oil drilling and workover rigs.

It is mainly applied for the primary separation and preliminary purification of solid particles such as drill cuttings in drilling fluid. The main structure typically consists of a rectangular or cylindrical pressure-resistant tank equipped with flow-guiding devices and cuttings discharge units, and its front end is connected to the mud return pipeline from the wellhead.

The truck-mounted shale tank efficiently removes more than 90% of large harmful solid particles from drilling fluid, preventing them from entering downstream systems to aggravate equipment wear or block pipelines.

The tank volume can temporarily store returned mud to balance flow fluctuation and avoid shutdown of subsequent equipment caused by overload. Separated dry drill cuttings can be collected for centralized treatment to reduce pollution from waste mud discharge.

Meanwhile, the cleaned drilling fluid can be recovered and reused to reduce material consumption costs.

XJ550-Z Truck-Mounted Mud Mixing Tank for Drilling Fluid Conditioning

The truck-mounted mud mixing tank serves as the core hub for drilling fluid performance regulation in oil drilling, shale gas exploitation, and trenchless engineering.

It acts as the key unit for chemical conditioning and material homogenization within the drilling fluid solids control system, undertaking dynamic maintenance of circulating drilling fluid, fresh mud preparation, and waste mud reclamation.

The mud mixing tank is generally arranged at the center of the circulating tank system. It receives drilling fluid preliminarily purified by shale shakers and desanders from the upstream side, with its downstream piping connected to the suction side of mud pumps.

Unlike ordinary mud storage tanks, it functions as a vital bridge between solids removal equipment and downhole feed pumps, ensuring the fluid pumped downhole maintains optimal working conditions at all times.
